Lake Bled, Slovenia (an iPhone note from a train)

(An iPhone note written on a train leaving Lake Bled in July of 2015)

“In the past 15 months of traveling, I’m yet to meet a town of more hospitable locals towards their guests. Our group of three has gotten picked up as hitchhikers three times and have had all our drivers apologize for not being able to help us even more. The food, simple but brilliant. The beer, endless and cheap. The women, charismatic and stunning. Each day has been better than the previous, and the pristine alps and crystal clear lake waters makes you wonder why this isn’t the most visited town in Europe, but you’re happy that it isn’t. Bled is everyone’s best kept secret amongst themselves.

Don’t go changing, Lesce Bled. Na zdravje :)”
